We woke up to the sound of motos again here in Vietnam (a sound Casey loves of course)! We are currently in our hotel lobby awaiting our pick-up for a 5-hour bus ride to the coastal town of Nha Trang. Yes, we are leaving the mountains for the beach. We have spent three nights in the sweet and only mountain-town in Vietnam called Da Lat. Lovely. I will write more about our experience here in a few days, but the bottom line is that this country is absolutely breath-taking. I have fallen in love with it!
Side note: We have received a bit of bad/good news here in Da Lat – as we have lost three loved ones in two days. My dear and lovely Great-grandma Walker, Grandpa Ramirez (of whom I never met) and sweet Grandpa Huff . Heaven gained much.

I want Pho and a Bahn Mi….
Also:
I watched a show about this Lady that makes food for what looks like all of the country. It appears that everyone shows up for this ladies food.
Please go, eat, and take photos.
Glad to see your trip.
Dude, we scored some serious local pho and when in Thailand on a six hour layover, spent $50 driving into Bangkok to grab some pad thai near the Grand Palace. Drove two hours for a 30 minute stint at the food carts near the palace. You would have loved it.
Unfortunately we left Vietnam before going to the lunch lady. Let’s just do this: you and me grab our wives (and kid) and do a trip to Vietnam and make some lunch lady memories? You in?
Also, I thought of you today. We were walking along Manly beach in Sydney and watched this surf school. I commented to Cara, “If we ever move back to Santa Barbara, I’m taking back up surfing and having Adam be my instructor/guru.”
I am so glad to have grown up in fairfield….our demographics being so close to Travis Air force base has given me the gift of many vietnamese people(and Many other nationalities)…..their wears, their foods and their absolutely wonderful work ethics…..one of my students brought me my favorite broom from there and it is the only one I have even seen in my life that really picks up all the hair……lol
The landscape is amazing in pictures and I can only imagine, like many tropics I have been to …..I’ve always felt even though I am there…it’s like I have to reach out and touch it to believe I am there or to believe it is real……What a blessing……for you both and all of us traveling with you….thank-you……..I am so sorry for your losses and our prayers are with you………..yes it has been a couple of years of far two many deaths but having faith in Jesus it what sustains us***Thank-you Lord***
